By exploring a single day in the life of a citizen in "Lightning City," we can consider the transformative implications of hyperbitcoinization across key sectors like energy, transportation, agriculture, supply chain, healthcare, education, media, and security.
This future is not just a vision of financial independence, but an exploration of how Bitcoin’s decentralized infrastructure can transform every facet of modern life. Post-hyperbitcoinization, the world will be built on trustless systems, permissionless transactions, and decentralized governance, creating a world of transparency, privacy, and autonomy.
Joe Davison first heard about Bitcoin in 2011, but did not receive his first satoshi until January, 2014. He later served as a technical program manager at Google and Apple, where he focused primarily on payments, identity, and commerce infrastructure. In 2022, he founded Payments Engineering, which enables developers and enterprises to optimize payment flows across bitcoin, blockchain, and legacy payments infrastructure. A father of two children, Joe is an advocate of free speech, free markets, and Christian family values.
