Regulation and Public Policies to Foster Bitcoin Adoption and Corporate Investment
2024-11-15 , Nakamoto Stage

On September 7, 2021, El Salvador made Bitcoin legal tender. This status is under threat from organizations seeking to revoke it, alongside potential regulatory misunderstandings that could stifle innovation. To counter this, we must create open environments for discussing Bitcoin's capabilities, emphasizing that its adoption serves the greater good. Collaboration among lawyers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers is essential for Bitcoin's survival and fostering innovation. While some jurisdictions attract talent without facing the same regulatory pressures as El Salvador, the spirit of Bitcoin promotes a world of free transactions for all, regardless of beliefs. Regulators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs must work together to address concerns and find compromises that benefit Bitcoin users in El Salvador. This dialogue will highlight both the challenges and opportunities in the evolving regulatory landscape.

In a world where Bitcoin is changing paradigms, the need for a bitcoin-friendly regulatory environment has become increasingly important. Our panel will look into the relationship between regulation and innovation, with a focus on El Salvador and other regions that are embracing Bitcoin. We will analyze the Bitcoin Law's impact on financial inclusion and business scalability, while also identifying the challenges and opportunities that current legislation presents. This panel will bring together industry leaders and regulatory experts to look into the complexities of the regulatory landscape, offering insights into best practices and favorable conditions for bitcoin enterprises. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the evolving regulatory framework that ultimately contributes to a future built on Bitcoin. Whether you are a policy maker, an entrepreneur, or simply interested in seeing bitcoin’s adoption grow in everyday life , this discussion will give you a better understanding of what is necessary to strengthen Bitcoin adoption and investment.
