In this talk we introduce NWC & what issues it solves. We believe apps should not have embedded wallets/nodes but rather connect to one wallet, and that apps should support connecting to many types of wallets. We Compare NWC with other similar technologies and alternatives, and explore real-life usage of NWC and apps that switched to use NWC instead of custodying user funds.
We also cover Alby's journey - How Alby hit a turning point and chose self-sovereignty, how NWC enabled Alby to build Alby Hub, and how NWC allows all of Alby’s amazing features to work both custodially and self-custodially, seamlessly, and what amazing future possibilties there are with Alby Hub.
