More Canadians than ever are considering leaving Canada. From legal and tax consequences to family and logistical considerations, lots goes in to planning a move. And once you’ve left, you’re not home free. Exit tax, registered accounts, visits home, assets in Canada, wills and estate planning, health, life and other insurance, and the possibility of returning are all issues to be addressed. The workshop will discuss considerations for those entertaining leaving, planning a move, and expats who are already abroad.


Presentation by lawyer and accountant on various considerations about leaving Canada. Workshop style will allow for interaction and questions.
