Independent bitcoin education is important for the obvious reason that it leads to bitcoin adoption, but there are less obvious but more profound second and third order effects.
The front-line of the next war is bitcoin education.
It is certain that the discovery Satoshi Nakomoto launched into the world will forever change it--what we get to decide is how. That's why it is so important that the first steps new people take into the space, that their earliest bitcoin education, empowers rather than dictates.
The problem with the modern world is that we are constantly told what to think--both for convenience and control--and over time we have not only lost the ability to think for ourselves but are also losing the hope that comes with sovereignty over your own future. Bitcoin education can be a means to a lot of different things. The easiest path, and one we must avoid at all costs, is one where the teacher dictates and a self-interested sponsor prospers. That will re-create many of the same problems of the legacy world. Bitcoin education that is truly independent and teaches the student to come to their own conclusions will change the life of that individual in profound ways, and with a large enough scale, change the world.
This is no longer just a theory but happening here in El Salvador and in dozens of nations around the world.
