As Chairman of the largest European Bitcoin association, Philipp will provide valuable insights into how lobbying works and how to shape Bitcoin legislation in Germany, Europe, and beyond.


The Bitcoin Bundesverband, a German Bitcoin Association, was founded by 70 members on September 26, 2024, in Berlin. Comprising primarily companies, it aims to become the most influential Bitcoin association in Europe, shaping relevant legislation.

Philipp’s Bitcoin journey began in 2016. By 2017, he wrote his Master’s thesis on cryptocurrencies, and in 2018, he started working full-time, focusing on blockchain and digital assets. His experience includes leading the Bitcoin Portal of Volksbank Bayern-Mitte and managing the cryptocurrency trading project for the German Savings Banks Association (DSGV). He also played a key role in the Retail CBDC (digital euro) project with the European Central Bank for the Savings Banks Financial Group.

Philipp then became Head of DLT & Digital Assets at Warburg Bank, one of Germany’s oldest private banks. Recently, he joined Blockbrain, a forward-thinking AI startup, which integrated Bitcoin into its treasury strategy, facilitates Bitcoin salary payments, and accepts Bitcoin payments.

In 2020, he founded PJAH Consulting, and in 2024, he launched Orange Sats, an Bitcoin educational platform. His podcast, Bitcoin Insights, features in-depth discussions with experts, expanding on themes from his newsletter.
