Anduro: a new path for sidechains and Bitcoin adoption
2024-11-15 , Finney Stage

Bitcoin layer twos and sidechains have dominated airwaves but few projects are designed to meaningfully benefit Bitcoin mainchain. After years of R&D, my team has designed Anduro, a multi-sidechain platform, to support Bitcoin Proof-of-Work while avoiding cannibalization of mainchain Bitcoin activity. We are now rolling out a variety of app pilots that solve real world problems in the real estate, hospitality, entertainment, payments, and commodities industries. We are redefining the future of Bitcoin adoption.

This talk will delve mostly into design principles underlying Anduro.io - a Marathon Digital Holdings incubated effort. The goal is NOT to be promotional but rather to kickstart a debate about how best to scale Bitcoin without cannibalizing the mainchain. There are two parts to this debate I hope to elaborate on: (1) technical implementations to maximize sidechain network resilience and decentralization, and (2) ecosystem development strategies to avoid copy-pasting Ethereum activity.

Since 2011, Edward Juline has been deeply immersed in the Bitcoin ecosystem, leveraging over a decade of experience to develop disruptive technologies and drive the growth of blockchain innovation. With a career that spans the early days of Bitcoin adoption to the forefront of blockchain development, Ed has held pivotal roles, including his recent leadership at MARA, where he spearheads growth and community initiatives for Anduro, a cutting-edge Bitcoin Layer 2 sidechain platform. Ed’s expertise in scaling blockchain projects and his relentless focus on pioneering new use cases make him a standout figure in the space and a critical voice in shaping the future of Bitcoin.
