For the last 15 years, I've worked oddball jobs in design, customer experience, and software architecture. Clients include startups, Walmart, UHG, and ≈NSA. I've been doing informal Bitcoin education since 2018 and have orange pilled hundreds of people. In 2021, I joined Custodia Bank and founded their design team, helping to bring Bitcoin custody and other products into the bank. Since getting laid off in September 2024, I've been focused on building AI tooling and products that fight against Big Tech and for traditional American values.

I'm an expat living in El Salvador in the mountains to the west, and have been here since late 2023.

Matt actively contributes to the Bitcoin community through a blend of education, technical development, and entrepreneurial efforts, with a strong focus on El Salvador.
His educational impact includes teaching workshops in El Salvador for students to understand, operate, maintain, and repair Bitcoin Mining ASICs, alongside providing IT security classes related to risk and compliance to students in El Salvador and in Hawaii.

On the development front, Matt founded a company (uila.io) focused on Bitcoin Mining and Lightning development and another company (Katall.io) utilizing Taproot Assets for VC and retail funding in LATAM.

Furthermore, he serves as a speaker at Bitcoin conferences and workshops, and his personal commitment is underscored by relocating his family to El Salvador in 2023 to fully utilize Bitcoin as a medium-of-exchange.
