Call for Abstracts — Africa Bioethics Conference 2026 (ABC2026)

The Africa Bioethics Network (ABN) invites abstract submissions for the inaugural Africa Bioethics Conference 2026 (ABC2026), to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 23–25 November 2026.

Centered on the theme:

African Bioethics in Practice: African Leadership, Global Engagement

the conference brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, ethics practitioners, community actors, and scholars from across Africa and globally to engage with contemporary questions in bioethics, governance, health systems, emerging technologies, climate ethics, and knowledge production.

ABC2026 seeks to strengthen African intellectual leadership in global bioethics while fostering inclusive, interdisciplinary, and practice-oriented dialogue.

Abstract submissions only
Interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral submissions are encouraged
Early-career researchers and practitioners are strongly encouraged to apply
Selected submissions may be considered for oral presentations, panels, workshops, or poster sessions
