Ronnie Mdawida is the Co-Founder of the Afribit Kibera project, where he leads the vision implementation, strategy, and expansion of the Kibera Bitcoin circular economy. With a background in Sociology and Community Development, Ronnie is passionate about leveraging Bitcoin to drive financial sovereignty, particularly in regions with limited access to traditional financial systems. In addition to his work with Afribit Kibera, Ronnie oversees The Ronnie Fund's projects and consults for Spatial Collective, where he focuses on community engagement across East Africa. His approach combines social entrepreneurship with technology to create sustainable employment, expand access to education, and promote financial inclusion. Through the adoption of Bitcoin and the development of Bitcoin circular economies, Ronnie strives to empower underserved communities and support their path to economic self-sufficiency.
