Session
In East Africa, financial exclusion remains a major challenge due to weak banking infrastructure and high transaction costs. MySatoshis, a Bitcoin platform from Burundi, addresses this by combining mobile-money integrated Bitcoin access and hybrid education (online + in-person). This talk explores our experience bringing Bitcoin to underserved communities using local tools like Lumicash, Ecocash, and BANCOBU e-noti, while delivering multilingual courses in Kirundi, French, and English. We'll showcase real-life use cases, challenges, and a replicable model for grassroots adoption.
