TeemIP, du projet open source à l'entreprise
17/02/2026 , Auditorium

DNS, DHCP and IP Management worlds have been my playgrounds during the 16 years (1998 – 2014) that I spent at Hewlett-Packard as a DDI engineer, working on a great variety of infrastructures, within IT teams or world wide Service Delivery organizations. During that time, I had the opportunity to design, deploy and maintain continent or world wide infrastructures for HP IT, for the highly secure environment where HP deliver its customer services from or for some HP world wide customers. VitalQIP, NetID, BlueCat, Infoblox or EfficientIP… all these major DDI solutions from the industry were my daily tools.

Some time in 2010, three colleagues of mine decided to leave HP to start their own company, Combodo, where they developed a complete open source, ITIL, web based service management tool : iTop.

My ambition to develop an open source solution for the DDI world, based on iTop framwork, started a few month after their departure. On one side, I had seen too many companies relying on spreadsheets to maintain their IP space. On the other side, the price and complexity of DDI solutions from vendors were high enough to discourage them to invest into decent tools. Hence the idea of creating an open source, simple though comprehensive solution to provide DDI services. Idea became real software and project has been open on SourceForge at the end of 2011. TeemIP story never stopped since then!

I logically joined Combodo a few years later, in 2014, to work as a consultant on iTop products. At the same time, I continued to develop and maintain TeemIP, mostly during my spare time. Today, TeemIP is still an independant project regularly enriched with new features.
