The M81 galaxy group provides a nearby laboratory to study the interplay between star formation, galactic dynamics, and the interstellar medium in a galaxy group environment. Using data from the Javalambre Photometric Local Universe Survey (J-PLUS), we perform a spatially resolved analysis of Hα emission across the M81 group. The 12-band (7 narrow bands+5 broad bands) photometric system of J-PLUS enables precise extraction of the Hα emission line, allowing us to trace star-forming regions, ionized gas structures, and their connection to stellar populations in unprecedented detail. We present our Hα emission line pipeline of J-PLUS nearby galaxies and results on the distribution and intensity of Hα emission across group members and highlight the role of tidal interactions in shaping the star formation activity.
These findings provide new insights into the star formation processes in the M81 group and demonstrate
the potential of multi-band surveys like J-PLUS for detailed studies of nearby galaxy groups.
