Recently we ITU-registered the BEST-18M-RAS, a possible site to host the first Hungarian radio telescope for cm-mm band observations. We will briefly summarize our site selection and approval work, including also climatological, geophysical, geographical, and sociological research besides radio spectrum monitoring and attenuation modelling. The planned technical parameters of the facility will be summarized, as well as the expected measurement capabilities. We will show the advantages installing a new Central-European station to be operated as part of the GMVA and in collaboration with the planned LEVERAGE radio interferometer system.
