Talk format

This year again, two formats are available:

Regular talks

  • Talk duration is 30 minutes, including Q&A.
  • Talks and slides are expected to be in English.

Student talk

We'd like to see more local students and the awesome things they do! For that we are opening a new talk format dedicated to students:
If you finished your Bachelors or Masters Thesis in Switzerland in 2026 and you think it is worth showing the community, please submit to this category.

  • Talk format is 15 minutes, in English

We will offer guidance and mentorship in order to make the best out of your slot.

Proposal topics

We expect an event offering a wide range of topics included in the information security field, including software, hardware, networks, infrastructures, systems, and others. For instance, topics could be:

  • Applications security
  • Vulnerability research and exploits development
  • Penetration testing and red teaming
  • Cloud security
  • Security automation
  • Network security
  • Intrusion detection and monitoring
  • Cryptography

Please do not submit more than two talks, we aim for quality and not quantity. Multiple submissions will get a penalty during the selection process.

Benefits for the speakers

Regular talk

Accepted speakers will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Reimbursement of travel costs up to a decent amount
  • Paid accommodation (up to 2 nights)
  • Free admission to the event, as well as the social events

In the case 2 speakers are presenting for the same talk:

  • Both speakers will have free admission to the event, as well as the social events
  • We cover the fees for one double-room

If you’re more than 2 speakers, the additional speakers will have to book their room and social events.

Student talk

Accepted speakers for the student talks will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Reimbursement of travel costs
  • Free admission for the day of the presentation

Required submission details

  • Title
  • 200-words abstract describing your talk
  • A few words on why we should accept your talk
  • A list of authors and their affiliations
  • A short biography

If available, the following can also be part of your submission
- A description of the research presented in the talk with a maximal length of 4 pages and/or the slides if already available;
- If needed, a list of special requirements (special network access, equipment, etc.)
