The session aims to highlight the major and most crucial threats against HRDs and Civil society activists individually or as organizations while discussing the newest guides and technologies to support these groups to sustain their digital safety and privacy.
It is equally important to focus on the efforts dedicated by researchers, incubators, and govermental/military to raise awareness or to provide help and support for the CSGs.
تتضمّن الجلسة قسماً تمهيدياً تجريبياً لمدّة 10 دقائق لتحديد القاعدة الأساسية للمواثيق الرقمية لأعضاء المجتمع المدني في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا مع عرض بعض الأمثلة، ثم سينتقل العمل بين المتحدثين مع التركيز على الأهداف التالية:

ما هي أحدث التقنيات لتمكين المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان ومجموعات المجتمع المدني من الحفاظ على مستوى أمان رقمي مقبول في الوقت الحاضر؟

هل ثمّة دليل متوافق مع احتياجات وإمكانيات ومحدوديّات هذه الفئة؟

ما هي الاتفاقيات الإقليميّة والقوانين الوطنية التي تناولت الاعتداء على هؤلاء الأفراد وخصوصياتهم؟

هل هذه القوانين والاتفاقيات تتكيّف مع التغيّر المستمر في الاحتياجات والتقنيات الحديثة؟

هل شهدنا أي تحسن أو حلول جديدة لدعم هذه الفئات بشكل أفضل في مجال ريادة الأعمال والشركات الناشئة؟

أكاديمياً، هل يمكننا تسليط الضوء على أحدث الهجمات ومواطن الضعف التي تسببت بها؟ ما هي الإجراءات المضادة؟
بعد معالجة هذه الأهداف، يتوجّب على كل عضوٍ تقديم توصيات بناءً على مجال خبرته (الفنية والقانونية والبحثية والإدارية).
Tamara Nidal Al-Masri is an IT auditor and a Digital Safety Technician at the Jordan Open Source Association with an MSc in Information Security and Digital Criminology student from PSUT and CISA Certified. Tamara has been delivering and leading training on digital security for women and girls, journalists, and human rights defenders in Jordan and across the region. She is also implementing a digital security auditing framework for local civil society, a first of its kind.
