The session will shed the light on the limitations and extensions of media manipulation and how communities and activists get ready to deal with them. Participants by the end of the session should have a good understanding of the limitations and the extensions that Media Manipulations can have on the work on human rights and should know more about some methods, and techniques to overcome challenges caused by these manipulations.
يُعدّ التلاعب بوسائل الإعلام والتكنولوجيا القائمة على الذكاء الاصطناعي أحد أكثر التهديدات خطورة التي يواجهها الموثّقون والصحافيون والناشطون في مجال حقوق الإنسان في عالمنا اليوم، إذ تؤدي هذه الظواهر إلى تشتيت انتباههم وتشويه سمعة عملهم.
ستسلّط هذه الجلسة الضوء على حدود وآفاق التلاعب الإعلامي وكيف يستعدّ الأفراد والمجتمعات للتعامل معها.
تجعل تقنية التزييف العميق التلاعب بأصوات ووجوه وأفعال الأشخاص أو تزييفها أمراً سهلاً. لقد أصبحت هذه التقنية تُشكّل مصدر قلق كبير للمشاهير والسياسيين والنساء حول العالم.
سوف تستعرض هذه الجلسة:
- أمثلة عن التلاعب بالإعلام (الحسابات المأجورة، التكنولوجيا القائمة على الذكاء الاصطناعي)
- نصائح وممارسات للتحقق من وسائل الإعلام عبر الإنترنت
- التكنولوجيا والتقنيات: خصائص تبديل الوجه، إزالة الأشياء وتعديلها، تغيير الخلفية، تحريك الشفاه، الخ...
- التهديدات والمخاوف الرئيسية
- الحلول والتوصيات
تُفتتح الجلسة بعرض تقديمي مدّته 45 دقيقة، تتبعه مناقشة تفاعلية مع الحضور.
Mahmoud is a bilingual, passionate, and determined human rights activist with over 10 years of experience at the forefront of personal rights, refugees’ rights, LGBTQ+ Rights, and social-economic rights activism in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He cooperated with WITNESS for years in different projects before he joined the organization as the Programmatic Comms Coordinator, MENA in January 2022.
Before joining WITNESS, he worked to help disadvantaged individuals and communities find empowerment through working with natural leaders as well as regional and international organizations.
Mahmoud has received his B.A in Sociology from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. Additionally he earned his post-grad diploma in Non-Governmental Organizations Management from Cairo University’s Economic and Political Sciences School and his Master’s Degree in International Relations from Goldsmith, University of London in 2021.
