Rhomanie Taylor

Well, If you journeyed this far into my spot on the internet I might as well tell you a little more about myself.

I’m Rhomanie Taylor, someone who has been passionate about making a stake in technology ever since he picked up a controller. I originally wanted to be a game developer to bring joy to those around me as I felt as a kid. Things changed when I figured out what “pirating”, “hacking”, and “Kali Linux” was. I fell down a deep rabbit hole that I never wanted to climb out of. My interest changed drastically, and in middle school, I found something that I truly wanted to make a career out of.. It allows me to keep on learning and stay on my toes. I can never be complacent, bored, or useless when there is so much to learn, do, and explore.

I’m proud to say that I’ll continue my trek in technology and keep on moving forward to help pave the way for young children just as I was. Children with interests that they can freely explore with no repercussions. That is what I’m all about and what my passion stems from.

At 21 years old, with a little over 2 years of experience, I have the unique opportunity to show early in career graduates and High School students that it is possible. It’s possible to “not know” and be comfortable “not knowing”. I show students that “imposter syndrome” is a flawed thought process. You don’t know what you don’t know, and getting a new role, taking a new class, speaking to a new person should make you confident in your own abilities and excited to learn about new concepts.

I siphon value out of my certifications, AAS in Cybersecurity, and my unending passion to learn and teach. Without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today. It’s beyond getting education or proving what I know. It allows me to be confident in the concepts and information I worked hard to understand. It validates my own understanding and shows others I understand what I am talking about. I can take this confidence with me to show people I belong in the rooms I’m invited to and my thoughts provide value.

Currently, I work as a Triage Specialist at a startup based out of Florida. Very early in my career I’ve had an opportunity to teach, learn, explore, and make mistakes. I’ve gained the aptitude to not only learn quickly, but reciprocate what I’ve learned to better enhance the overall team’s goal. There is so much to learn putting yourself through the ringer and drinking through the fire hose. I am privileged to have a supportive and knowledgeable team to exponentially increase my growth and introduce me to so many technologies and products.

Happy to connect with anyone!
