Investigating cyber threats to space infrastructure
, Track 2

Space is vital to today’s world, sustaining critical services such as the energy grid, transportation and finance. This talk explores its vulnerability to cyber attacks, especially in the ground segment where space assets like satellites are monitored and operated, drawing upon my PhD research.

This talk informs audiences about our dependence on space infrastructure, analysis of cyber attacks against space ground systems, and highlights how it is being secured, drawing upon my socio-technical PhD research at University of Bristol and University of Bath.

This talk is suitable for a variety of audiences, ranging from people with vague interests in space to experts looking to extend their knowledge to the novel space domain.

Cyber Security CDT (PhD) researcher at University of Bristol and University of Bath, conducting interdisciplinary research about the cyber security and resilience of space infrastructure.

I enjoy raising awareness of cyber security challenges within the space domain, leading to participation at events such as CySat, SpaceSec (within NDSS) and a Roundtable on Electromagnetic Threats to Satellites at Cranfield University.
