DESCRIPTION:ADS-B is one of the technologies at the forefront of aviation 
 safety\, broadcasting information from planes to the ground and other airc
 raft alerting them of their position\, speed and heading. The protocal use
 d is entirely unauthenticated and unencrypted\, and malicious actors are a
 ble to easily inject false information into this system. Based on my under
 gradutate dissertation\, this talk will discuss the development of ADS-B\,
  the security issues that it has\, and the work being done to counteract t
 hese problems.
