Domain Protection - How We Protect Our Customers

My presentation will demonstrate what tools Aviva utilising to identify websites that are being used maliciously in a
fraudulent manner against members of the public and our customers or infringing our brand in an unapproved manner
to enhance their reputation.
I will demonstrate the options we have to take action against such sites and how we have transformed from a team who react to reports from public to a team that now take proactive actions to disable sites before they have had opportunity to defraud members of the public.

This presentation will demonstrate tools and techniques used to identify websites that are being maliciously used, whether to defraud members of the public, exploit customers or misuse a brand in an unauthorised way to enhance its reputation. This session will explore the options available to take action against such sites and provide real-world experience of how the team at Aviva evolved to proactively disable sites before they have had opportunity to defraud members of the public. Martin Clarke has been a Cyber Security Specialist working in Aviva's perimeter security team specialising in Domain Management and Protection for the past 5 years. He has been involved in introducing tools that allow us to understand who or when our brand is being infringed for malicious or fraudulent proposes and taking appropriate action to prevent or stop such activity. Prior to working at Aviva, Martin worked for Lloyds Banking Group for over 30 years with 20 years in IT Service Management.
