What's New?

Funding Opportunities: In 2024, we anticipate funding a few ecosystem projects. Additionally, for the first time, you can apply for funding to begin work in 2025. While there’s no strict budget cap for 2025 projects, proposals should align with the expected benefits and scope of work. This could include recurring projects, such as ongoing library maintenance and regular releases or a one time project.

Key Details:

• Funding Amount: Up to €5,000 per project for 2024 (funding can be granted in lesser amounts as decided by the Robot Framework Foundation). For 2025 projects, the budget will be determined based on the project's scope and impact.
• Application Period: Open until the end of September 2024. Some projects might be selected before the deadline, so please send in your proposal as soon as possible.
• Decision Timeline: Selected projects for Fall 2024 will be announced by mid-October.
• Project Deadline: Projects funded for 2024 should be concluded by the end of the year. For 2025, the timeline will be determined based on the proposal.

Application Process:

• Interviews: A 10-minute interview will be organized with the project committee and applicants whose proposals are deemed interesting.
• Decision-Making: The final decision on funding will be made by the Robot Framework Foundation's Board of Directors.
