📣 Call for Proposals: Robot Framework Tool Ecosystem Projects for 2025 & 2026! 🤖

We're excited to invite innovative project proposals for the Robot Framework ecosystem. Whether you have ideas for new projects, enhancements to existing ones, or a vision for long-term initiatives, this is your chance to make a significant impact! 💡

Do You Have A One Time Or Continuous Project

Funding Opportunities: In 2025, we anticipate funding a few ecosystem projects. Additionally, you can apply for funding to begin work in 2026. While there’s no strict budget cap for 2026 projects, proposals should align with the expected benefits and scope of work. This could include recurring projects, such as ongoing library maintenance and regular releases or a one time project.

Key Details:

• Funding Amount: Up to €5,000 per project for 2025 (funding can be granted in lesser amounts as decided by the Robot Framework Foundation). For 2025 projects, the budget will be determined based on the project's scope and impact.
• Application Period: Open until the September 5th 2025. Some projects might be selected before the deadline, so please send in your proposal as soon as possible.
• Decision Timeline: Selected projects for Fall 2025 will be announced by the end of September.
• Project Deadline: Projects funded for 2025 should be concluded by the end of the year. For 2026, the timeline will be determined based on the proposal.
  Note: There may be no funding available at all. We cannot guarantee the funding of any project. Funding strictly depends on the Foundation’s financial situation. As a non-profit organization, our resources are limited.

Application Process:

• Interviews: A 10-minute interview will be organized with the project committee and applicants whose proposals are deemed interesting.
• Decision-Making: The final decision on funding will be made by the Robot Framework Foundation's Board of Directors.
