Charmed! 2026

Subtle Poetry, Enthralling Words — The art of conversational hypnosis
2026-01-15 , Coastal West (hybrid)

Have you paid much mind to the rhythm of language, of hypnosis? How the right tone, the right pulse, just the right percussive syllables, can make your words hit with a shocking strength? There's a beautiful art, there. Conversational hypnosis leans heavily into this art. It is applied poetry, lyric made suggestion.

In this course for beginners and experts alike, we're going to delve into that rhythm, that connection. Hypnosis is poetry, and learning the motions of the dance will allow you to do amazing things with your words. There will be no swinging of pocket watches, here! No spirals, no counting or listing. This class is about what you can do with words alone.

That's right, Flower's conversational hypnosis class is back, new and improved, with a state-of-the-art functioning laptop!! We'll be going over:
- Conversational hypnosis, from the basics to the advanced
- Best consent practices
- Hypnotic framing
- Using poetry to enhance your trances
- Exercises and workshops
- And much much more!
We'll close off with a discussion about art and hypnosis, and how seeing yourself as an artist can bring your skills to incredible and beautiful heights. Or, put plainly: Hypnosis is art, and you are an artist!

For those who attended last year, there should be lots of new stuff here for you! And for those seeing this your very first time, we hope to give you a beautiful new perspective on the form c:

Are you interested in this class being recorded / rebroadcast during the convention and for a limited period following the con?: Yes

Flower is a hypnotist and subject with over 5 years of experience in the scene, returning for her second year presenting at Charmed! She loves hypnosis as an art form, as a beautiful kind of applied poetry: a kind of magic we perform with word and touch and implication. She hopes to share this passion for the form with everyone in her classes, just as she did last year!

Her experiences in the scene left her with a passion for safety, and a mission to share good consent practices. That's why she's thrilled to be bringing back Safety First to Charmed 2026!

When she's not having her brain turned to slush (or vice versa), she's making tea, reading, growing local plants, or writing some non-hypnotic poetry of her own. She hopes to see you in class, and remember: every day is Wahoo Wednesday!!!
