We all know negotiation is important, but nothing kills a potential scene quicker than a dry, formal, awkward negotiation. This class presents one solution: making a hypnotic toybox for “empty-table” style negotiations.
We will begin with a discussion on consent, risk, and negotiation for both BDSM and hypnosis scenes. What is the purpose of negotiation? Why is consent important? What are the risks we mitigate with negotiation? What risks should we be aware of that negotiation doesn’t address? What makes for a bad or good negotiation? Why does Sillybit have such a negative reaction to checklists? Sillybit then presents her hypnotic toybox: a deck of personalized cards used to negotiate hypnosis scenes. Begin with an empty table, and then put your favorite toys on the table as you discuss them.
Everyone will then have ample time begin drafting their own toybox. Note-cards, pens, and a corner rounder will be provided, and some (optional) stations will be set up around the room: card-reviewing, definition-brainstorming, language-testing, and phrase-critiquing.
