Risk is an important topic for kink. But often discussion stops at "these are the risks of this activity".
Risks can be severe or mild, risks can be common or rare. And often, the "bad things" associated with a risk are more nuanced than first impressions.
In this class, we will look at applying a professional engineering framework to improve how we think and talk about risks. This should help with making sure that mitigations happen where they matter most, and maybe even open up new avenues of mitigation to manage impacts of risky activities.
