The Audio Files class is a hands on, how to make audio files 101. You will need to bring several things to this class to get the full benefit from what is being taught.
Please bring the following equipment:
Your fully charged laptop with the below items downloaded.
Your charging cord just in case.
Headphones that link into your laptop.
Things to download for this class:
Audacity. This is the software we will be using in this class. Audacity is a free, open source program. The latest version is 3.7.5. It has many new features (most that won’t be covered in class. Please make sure it is the latest version.) Download it at: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/
FFmpeg library. This plug-in allows you to import and export a larger array of files. It's important because it includes M4A (ACC) which is one of the most common files. You can use a separate program to convert these files to WAV, but the plug-in is much easier. Links to download it with a tutorial can be found at:
