Charmed! 2026

Kinky Crip Theory — A disability roundtable
2026-01-17 , Virtual Room 1

Let's talk disability! Invisible and visible, physical and mental, come one come all to a short presentation and a round-table discussion. Meet with fellow disabled people, chat about your experiences, and build community knowledge together!

The presentation will briefly cover a few basics of crip theory and intersectionality, and then delve into tools and tips for making play accessible. We'll also give some ideas for integrating disabilities into play.

In the roundtable, the floor will open for everyone to chat! There'll be a few introductions and hellos, and then we'll get right into our experiences in the hypnosis and kink scenes (with a few questions to offer structure). We'll share ideas for accessible play, talk about our highs and lows, discuss ways to fight ableism and bigotry in our spaces, and generally build community together. This should be an open and welcoming conversation! Heavy topics might come up (these can be dark times, after all), but we'll try our best to keep things light and hopeful through it all.

Allies welcome, though please understand we're centering disabled voices here! You're welcome to learn and listen, but disabled folks will be prioritized in the discussion <3

Thank you all for your interest, and we hope to see you at the table!

Flower is a hypnotist and subject with over 5 years of experience in the scene, returning for her second year presenting at Charmed! She loves hypnosis as an art form, as a beautiful kind of applied poetry: a kind of magic we perform with word and touch and implication. She hopes to share this passion for the form with everyone in her classes, just as she did last year!

Her experiences in the scene left her with a passion for safety, and a mission to share good consent practices. That's why she's thrilled to be bringing back Safety First to Charmed 2026!

When she's not having her brain turned to slush (or vice versa), she's making tea, reading, growing local plants, or writing some non-hypnotic poetry of her own. She hopes to see you in class, and remember: every day is Wahoo Wednesday!!!
