It is no secret that many of us are on the autism spectrum. Many things about hypnokink have fairly broad appeal among autistic people, including the exploration of sensation and control, the altered headspaces and atypical social interaction, even the fascination with spinning things. Other aspects are not so friendly, especially in practice: misunderstandings and exclusion, sensory meltdowns, and the omnipresent specter of "rapport". The presentation will cover some highlights of what autistic people may experience in the hypnokink community and some tools they may have, both as subjects and hypnotists, with advice from the experience of the presenter.
Skew has been among these circles for almost nineyears, after a nearly lifelong interest and fetish for hypnosis and mind control. He is autistic, grey asocial, male-ish/demiboy, and notionally a hypnotist and D-type. He went a long time with nearly zero experience but nigh-infinite notes, preparing him to talk about isolation, but his experience as a hypnotist now grows steadily. In real life, he does astronomy things.
