Charmed!2025

Crips gettin Kinky — A Disability and Kink Roundtable
2025-01-26 , Zoom room #1

Let's talk disability! Invisible and visible, physical and mental, come one come all to a short presentation and a round-table discussion. Meet with fellow disabled people, chat about your experiences, and build community knowledge together!

The presentation will briefly cover a few basics of crip theory and intersectionality, and then delve into tools and tips for making play accessible. We'll also give some ideas for integrating disabilities into play.

In the roundtable, the floor will open for everyone to chat! There'll be introductions and hellos, and then we'll get right into our experiences in the hypnosis & kink scenes (with a few questions to offer structure). We'll share ideas for accessible play, talk about our highs and lows, discuss ways to fight ableism and bigotry in our spaces, and generally build community together. This should be an open and welcoming conversation! Heavy topics might come up, of course, but we'll try to keep things light and hopeful through it all.

Allies welcome, though please understand we're centering disabled voices here! You're welcome to learn and listen, but disabled folks will be prioritized in the discussion <3

Thank you all for your interest, and we hope to see you at the table!

Flower is a disabled transfem lady who says "wahoo!!" She's been in the hypnosis scene for over 5 years, and her experiences have left her with a passion for safety and a love for the art of hypnosis. For her, the practice is deeply connected to other artistic forms. You'll often hear her call hypnosis "applied poetry" for this very reason!

She's really thrilled to be presenting her first classes here at Charmed 2025! She hopes to foster a safety-first mindset alongside the other amazing presenters, and add her unique voice to the conversation. Check out her safety class and disability roundtable, and remember... Every day is Wahoo Wednesday!!!
