Charmed!2025

Engage with Edgeplay
2025-01-24 , Windward Room

What makes something edgeplay? What are the kinds of harm that could result? What makes this type of play so hot? What does it mean to be risk informed?

In this class you’ll engage meaningfully with a risk assessment schema and self reflection guide to explore a variety of forms of edgeplay. We’ll share our experiences from the last three years, discussing how we:
- Worked step by step towards permanent amnesia
- Layered multiple suggestions to create deep dissociative states
- Learned how suggestions that influence desire don’t necessarily erode consent
- Captured deeper, darker, more profound emotional states
- Supercharged our intoxication suggestions with soaked rags and spray bottles
- Built a beautiful garden just to watch it be destroyed

Experiences with play differ vastly from person to person, and each of the suggestions we discuss could be an entire class in itself. We hope to show how the same tools for assessing risk can be used for so many different forms of edgeplay.

Content warning for discussions and demonstrations of: permanent amnesia, dissociation, suggestions affecting taste/preference/desire, emotion play, immersive role-play, playing without safe words, anesthetic suggestions, intoxication play, and body horror.
