Climate Arena: Call for session proposals

Climate Arena: Conference for Journalists, Scientists and CivicTechies in Europe, 10-11 November 2023, Vienna

Pitch a session proposal. We are looking for data-driven projects, investigations, and innovative storytelling methods related to climate change.

We are particularly interested in presentations on journalistic methods uncovering greenwashing, lobbying, and examples of government action that fuel the climate crisis.

We also want to hear about biodiversity, groundwater, food, oceans, climate migration, agriculture, and the social impact of the climate crisis.

We are looking for the following types of sessions, gender balanced and from a range of regions in Europe:

  • Networking sessions/roundtable meetings for coordination and planning
  • Moderated panels of three or four people focusing on a topic
  • Workshops and hands-on sessions: e.g. instructions about techniques and methodologies that can be applied in new contexts.

About the conference

This conference is organised by the climate network of Arena for Journalism in Europe, an open-access hub set up by and for journalists, and bringing together journalists, scientists and civic technologists. We encourage cross-border cooperation and the exchange of skills and methods.
