CSIDES is back on the Grand Pier, and we’re opening the doors to people with something to say about security!

Not just cyber professionals. Not just seasoned speakers. If you’ve got an idea, a story, a lesson, or a perspective that helps people understand the digital world a little better, we want to hear from you.

CSIDES is a community-first cyber security event built for real life. Plain English, practical thinking, and conversations that everyone can take part in. This isn’t about jargon or showing off. It’s about making cyber make sense.

What we’re looking for:
We’re deliberately broad. If it helps people stay safer, think differently, or feel more confident in a digital world, it belongs here.

Topics might include:
- Everyday online safety and digital life
- Real-world cyber incidents and lessons learned
- Building resilience in organisations and communities
- Security for small businesses and startups
- Privacy, trust, and digital ethics
- Careers, confidence, and breaking into cyber
- Human stories behind cyber security
- Emerging tech explained simply

Deeply technical talks are welcome, but they must be accessible to everyone including those with little technical experience or no knowledge of what cyber security means.

Formats:
- 40-minute talks; For deeper stories, practical walkthroughs, or big ideas that need space
- 20-minute talks; Short, sharp, and impactful. Great for new speakers or focused topics
- Workshops; Hands-on, interactive sessions. Tell us what people will do, and what they need to take part

What makes a great CSIDES talk:
