I identified all the IPv4 allocations by RIPE NCC to Germany, and did a programmatic survey of the state of reverse DNS for this data. I present my findings and talk very briefly about the benefits to network operators of establishing PTR records for external-facing nodes.
David Huberman currently serves in the Office of the CTO at ICANN.
Mr. Huberman is in his 22nd year in the internet engineering industry. Prior to joining ICANN, he was a network operator at companies such as Microsoft, Global Crossing, Oracle, and Telocity. He also spent 10 years as a staffer at ARIN.
Mr. Huberman graduated from Indiana University in 1996 with a bachelors of arts degree for a double major (telecommunications and geography). He lives with his family in Ashburn, Virginia, USA.
