David Lloyd has over twenty years of experience in the Telecommunications industry, with a core specialization in network engineering and planning. He has held senior technical roles with GTT, Hibernia Networks, Telenor, 360networks, and is currently a Senior Network Architect at EXA Infrastructure (previously GTT/Hibernia Networks). David holds an MA, M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, and a Full Technological Certificate in Telecommunications from Dublin Institute of Technology. He has expertise on a broad range of submarine and terrestrial networking technologies.

Dr. Gerhard Stein is Head of Product Development at FLEXOPTIX, ensuring that innovative and amazing products are brought into the market.

Back in the 1990s, when he was still living in Mexico, he wrote small programs and assembled computers and network systems for customers. After his arrival in Germany, he began studying mechanical and process engineering at the TU Darmstadt, continued this at the Ruhr University Bochum, specialising computational engineering and received his doctorate in the field of simulation technology.

He also develops open source software such as the Commander Genius game engine.

I have 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with a background in mobile networks, network engineering and information security. In my current position as Network Engineer, I support customers in the design and implementation.

Fredy Künzler is the founder and CEO of Init7, one of the last independent Internet providers in Switzerland.

In 2020 I joined Deutsche Telekom as IP/MPLS-Backbone Architect, working on the Network Architecture of the IP/MPLS Backbone of Deutsche Telekom as global Tier-1 ISP.
I'm part of the Engineering Teams for MPLS Core Development and the development for IP-Transit and Peering services of AS 3320.
I'm involved in the Introduction of RPKI at the Deutsche Telekom global Network AS 3320 and also working on the migration to Segment Routing (SR-MPLS).

Before I joined Deutsche Telekom, I started my Network Engineering career 25 years ago in 1999 at UUNET Germany and stayed with this ISP during all the company transformations from UUNET via MCI to Verizon until end of 2016.
At the beginning of 2017 I moved on to 1&1 Versatel and joined there the Platform & Network Design Team until 2020, when I moved on to Deutsche Telekom.
During this journey I was always working on Backbone Engineering Topics looking into MPLS Traffic Engineering and also Internet BGP routing policies.

After supporting DENOG15 as an Engel, Janina is now attending her fourth DENOG conference being engaged in social media, the website, PR and promotional videos. She joined the board in November 2023.
Outside of DENOG, Janina works as a Product Manager at Deutsche Telekom and is actively involved the women's network "IVY Female Collective".

As CTO of UPONU I am responsible for the whole technical data center and core network stack.

Kevin Meynell is the Community Engagement Manager at the SCION Association where he supports the SCION technical community and standardisation efforts. He previously led the MANRS programme that promoted the implementation of better routing security practices on the Internet, led the Deploy360 programme to encourage IPv6 and DNS security deployment, and worked on South-East Europe and Central Asia IXP development.

Prior to that he was the Training Manager at APNIC, Manager of the Shibboleth Consortium, and spent 16 years as a Project Development Officer at TERENA (now the GÉANT Association). This included working on IPv6 deployment, eduroam, the Global Lambda Interconnect Facility, the European R&E PKI Service and TF-CSIRT, as well as NREN Development Support in Eastern and Southern Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East.

Kevin is also a member of the RIPE and APRICOT Programme Committees, and previously served on the CAPIF, ENOG, TNC and APAN Programme Committees.

Leon works as an Network Engineer and is part of the Network Solutions team at Eurofiber Netz GmbH.

Michael joined Arista Networks as a Systems Engineer in 2019. Prior to joining Arista he held different roles in Juniper Networks and worked as independent tester and software developer at EANTC.

Moritz is an experienced manager in the networking industry, currently working as Director, Business Development Central Europe for Zayo Europe. He is passionate about the network industry and its drive to connect people and networks, which he supports by day as the driving force behind Stuttgart-IX and as Vice Chairman of DENOG e.V. in his spare time.

Moritz has over ten years of experience with regional carriers, national data centres, international CDNs and global cloud providers and shares his industry knowledge as a freelance consultant.

Working as Senior Network Architect for more then 20 years for DT. Currently in the Architecture and Strategy department (aka "T-AS") with focus on the end-to-end architecture of DTs IP network. Covering a wide variety of different topics such as SRv6, DNS and impact of new services (such as relay based networks), Co-chair of IETF MPLS WG.

I'm responsible for the IP team and network at PFALZKOM, handling all internet, cloud and voice services for our enterprise customers including critical infrastructure. We operate the network in 4 states of Germany and two own data centers.

Nicol Nógrádi is the Account and Sustainability Manager at Inter.link and has been an integral part of shaping the company's environmental goals from the start. She is deeply committed to making Internet connectivity more sustainable for everyone.

Peter is a Systems Engineer at Arista Networks. He has over 20 years of experience in various operations, engineering and consulting positions with Data Centers, Service Providers and Networking Hardware/Software Vendors.
During his professional development he have worked with various BGP implementations and was able to build up relevant experience.

Pim van Pelt - PBVP1-RIPE started his career as a network engineer in the Netherlands, where he worked for Intouch, Freeler, and BIT. He helped raise awareness for IPv6 by launching it at AMS-IX back in 2001. He also operated SixXS, a global IPv6 tunnel broker, from 2001 through to its sunset in 2017.

Today, Pim operates AS8298 at IPng Networks GmbH, a network running fully featured opensource routers with VPP in excess of 100Mpps.

Prof. Dr. Vaibhav Bajpai is professor and head of the data-intensive Internet computing research group at the Hasso Plattner Institute and the University of Potsdam. His current research focuses on improving Internet operations using data-intensive methods and by building real-world systems and models.

Rene Fichtmüller joined Flexoptix in 2018 and is an Evangelical Optician responsible for the strategic market development and customer support. In his current role, he currently looks after the DACH and APAC, NZ, AU and Oceania regions.

With his technical expertise and extensive knowledge in internet technologies, his work involves not only providing technical consultation and selling optical solutions but also educating and assisting his clients in implementing these technologies and conveying complex technical concepts clearly.

Beyond his professional duties at Flexoptix, Rene has a passion for community and knowledge-sharing. He serves the community through voluntary work and is co-founder of the Keep Ukraine Connected Project and Chairman of Global NOG Alliance (GNA) and Sustainability Taskforce- an organization that unites network specialists from around the globe to exchange knowledge, develop best practices, and foster collaboration within the industry.

Rene has mentored and supported the start of new NOGs within Africa and APAC since 2019 and supports community driven internet exchanges. In line with FLEXOPTIX’s core values of supporting and giving back to the community, Rene has played a key role in helping set up fellowships, training workshops, and other events aimed at strengthening and supporting the network engineering community.

Roman is an avid networking community member. He cherishes open-source software and is a contributor and a maintainer of a few key network automation projects. Predominantly Roman is involved in network automation projects that leverage modern gRPC-based management interfaces and YANG modeling.

Susi Bauer (She\Her or They\Them) is a bilingual, neurodivergent freelancer with a decade of experience in the UK video games industry. Usman works as a Senior Developer Advocate at Grafana Labs from Nuremberg, Germany. He works with the Open Source community on the community forum, GitHub, and also on Slack community.

In his free time, Usman likes to spend time with his family, go out on occasional traveling and play games or read comics.

Thomas Weible is the creative brain of FLEXOPTIX. A real rebel who dreams up innovations such as the FLEXBOX. He dives deep into the inner life of optics and loves experimenting on real-life problems with our customers. For more than 16 years he has been part of the internet community and has specialized in optical networking.

Tim Kleefass started with DENOG2 conference and is engaged in the DENOG conference and meetup organisation since years. He's also part of the PC and since end of 2023 treasurer of the board. Besides being involved into Stuttgart-IX, his professional live brought him to BelWü, SWITCH, EXARING (waipu.tv), OneFiber Interconnect and since February 2024 as head of global network design to DE-CIX.

He specializes in improving network infrastructure by implementing, orchestrating and fine-tuning automation tools around real-world problems.

Tobias is an IP Solution Architect focusing on datacenter networks. He joined Nokia (former Alcatel-Lucent) in 2011 as a dual student studying Computer Science followed by completing his MSc. in Distributed Computing Systems Engineering in 2016. For over 10 years now, he is specializing in network integration, automation and solution design always interested in cutting-edge technologies.

My name is Vincentz Petzholtz and I have been working in the Network Industry since ~2006.

I’ve been a Network Engineer and Solution Architect through different positions and companies (Interoute/GTT/SysEleven/Inter.link). I've worked in small to very large projects, enterprises and networks. From simple to complex SDN driven (commercial or self build) to internet scale solutions. I'm happy to talk at conferences, community events and arrange workshops in a public and/or private setting. Talking to customers and understanding their needs is something I enjoy. Engineering is at the heart of those things and is connecting everything. Main areas of expertise have been BGP (Routing, Policies etc.), MPLS/Traffic Engineering, DataCenter Fabric, Network Security (especially DDoS Detection and Mitigation) and overall network design and architecture. Besides that I also contribute to the Internet Community via the Berlin Internet Exchange (BCIX) as a member of the advisory board.

In 2024 I joined Arista Networks on my journey to build the best networks possible to tackle the challenges ahead together with our customers.

After completing his degree at Karlsruhe University, Wolfgang started working as a network engineer in 1994. He went on to become head of network operations and peering manager at a range of ISPs.

In 2006, Wolfgang joined DE-CIX as Director Customer Support, a position he held for ten years. Since 2016, Wolfgang has been head of the DE-CIX Academy, making sure customers understand how BGP and other routing protocols work.
