Session
At Gen, it's essential for us, as an AV company, to share our know-how and participate in innovations that move the industry forward and help protect users worldwide.
In recent years, we have open-sourced and contributed to several projects, and I would like to present you a selection of them with practical examples of their usage.
My team focuses on development around YARA - a great pattern-matching tool used by malware analysts all over the world. We are actively contributing to this tool and developing additional tools that make analysts' lives easier.
In this talk, I will introduce GenRex, our latest published project for the generation of regular expression for YARA rules, YARI, and YLS - developing tools for YARA, and YARA-X, the ongoing development of a new generation of YARA tools.
Among others, I will also present the results of the work of students from FIT BUT who participated in these projects, for example, as part of their final bachelor's and diploma theses.
