Streamlining bootable container workflows with podman-bootc
06-13, 11:00–11:35 (Europe/Prague), D105 (capacity 300)

This project introduces an extension to the successful OCI container
model, expanding the concept of 'layers' to model bootable host systems
and leveraging standard OCI containers as a delivery format for
base operating system updates.

We present podman-bootc, a scriptable tool designed to streamline the
"edit-compile-debug" cycle for bootable containers.
Essentially, it facilitates an ergonomic and efficient workflow by
enabling the direct booting of a container image as a virtual machine.
