The new era of packaging parallel streams in Fedora
06-15, 10:15–10:50 (Europe/Prague), E112 (capacity 156)

There have been several attempts to provide multiple application streams for Fedora, such as Software Collections that never become used in Fedora, and modules that were broadly used until Fedora 39. However, modules brought multiple issues for package maintainers and faced several challenges on the user side. This situation left many confused about the multiple stream provisioning.

With Fedora 40, modules are being discouraged. But… What will come after them?

Come and join us for a talk where we describe the innovative approach we've chosen for database components in the post-modular world. Be ready for a live demo at the end of the talk!
