The Podman project is now 7 years old, and just released a new major version, Podman 5, with a healthy number of new features - and many breaking changes. This talk will dive into the balance between maintaining compatibility and making changes that break users. Attendees will learn how the Podman team decides to do major releases and how major and breaking changes are evaluated through the lense of the recent Podman 5 release.
