Andrew Melck
Andrew discovered web technologies while working for WPP in the late 90s. Initially as an editor, and then in various project management and delivery roles, he worked in large enterprises including Siemens and further agencies, before being bitten by the Open Source startup bug, doing presales and sales. Upon moving to Platform.sh in 2014, Andrew established and built out the company‘s presence in DACH. He now manages and nurtures relationships with some of the company‘s largest accounts, taking a special interest in greener IT, a topic he continues to promote with customers and in the wider business community.
In this capacity Andrew has led international projects focused on maximizing CO2 savings, migrating workloads from carbon intensive regions to lower carbon locations.
Andrew has been based in Germany for many years having previously lived in South Africa, Austria and the UK.
