Data spaces are firmly anchored in the strategy of the Federal Council Delegate for Digital Transformation and ICT Steering (DTI) and Digital Public Services Switzerland (DVS). The term also appears in the Federal Act on Mobility Data Infrastructure
(MODIG). What does it mean? How should one be set up? What are the factors for success?
Data spaces are becoming an increasingly important concept. Their structure and networking are key factors in this regard. The current work being done by the federal government and the EU will be explained. What has already worked? What hasn't?
The aim is to provide an introduction to the concept and its practical application as envisaged for Switzerland.

A former tech founder and CTO/CPO, he brings entrepreneurial experience to the public sector. His focus lies in exploring sustainable value creation models for data spaces.
