Sandro D'ORAZIO, Deputy Head of the Web Communication unit in DG COMM, and Massimiliano MOLINARI, head of the "Corporate web solutions" sector, will share their experience from the "business side" in setting up a corporate web presence using Drupal.
The web presence of the European Commission is a key communication channel for the institution and creating a Drupal based SAS type solution drastically improved the coherence, the security and the scalability of the Europa.eu web domain. It was a long journey to get there and the speakers will share Key lessons learned during this process that would be useful for other government organizations willing to do the same
I'm an IT engineer who began my career as a developer before joining the European Commission in 2006. Over the years, I evolved into an IT architect and later transitioned into management roles. I eventually moved to the Directorate-General for Communication, where I now serve as Deputy Head of Unit in the Web Communication Unit. Although my career path has shifted toward management and communication, my passion for technology and IT remains at the heart of everything I do.
