The LocalGov Drupal project has been a great success in the British Isles, with many successful deployments, including multilingual implementations. This is a short demonstration of LocalGov Drupal Français - an example implementation for the French market.
We intend to show how LocalGov Drupal's main distribution has been leveraged to maximise code sharing between core LGD and the French language version. We want to share the work involved, how long this all took to achieve, along with key features, opportunities and challenges with moving from an English language distribution to one in another language.
We will also look at how language switching is handled when LGD gets installed, and how the same model could be applied in other language and multi-lingual settings.

I like to think about - and then help implement - scalable, large scale frontend systems for Drupal, LocalGov Drupal, and Design Systems.
I am the Director at open source specialist digital agency Code Enigma. As open source specialists we are naturally leaning towards social and environmental goals and outcomes. We specialise in designing, delivering, hosting and supporting high quality Internet solutions, predominantly built using the Drupal content management system, though we work with a whole range of open source software. We work with organisations of all shapes, sizes and budgets. As long as the Internet is central to completing your goals and you're doing positive things in the world, we are a good fit.
