[English] Mergin Maps workshop will be exploration of the mobile app together with gathering data and analysing the results with the other attendees. Will will also look at the project in QGIS and talk about some tips and tricks that can make your projects perfect.
Join us for the Mergin Maps workshop for QGIS users to empower you to master collaborative mapping in the field. Workshop will be held in English.
We will set up and synchronise your Mergin Maps project with QGIS to your mobile device, and gather some data together. During survey we will explore the mobile app and the recent additions to the software.
Afterwards, we will explore the results on desktop QGIS and look at how to improve the project settings. We will also show best practices for setting up survey layers and background maps.
We will also equip you with the skills to manage your collaborative mapping projects effectively, including sharing, transferring, setting roles and permissions.
Peter has been more than 8 years fully involved in software development and consultancy around open-source GIS solutions. First through developing QGIS plugins and features such as Mesh Layer, and more recently as the lead of the Mergin Maps project. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing chess.
