HPC Desktops — A Different Kind of Interactive Supercomputing
2026-03-10 , Main Hall

Imagine having access to a centrally hosted environment that combines the power of HPC systems with the convenience of desktops. This is the HPC Desktop, designed to lower the barrier of entry and broaden adoption of HPC systems.

This talk provides an architectural overview, use cases, and experiences of operating such an environment. The broader scope of HPC Desktops will be discussed, and the talk will make the case that such systems should be deployed more widely.
