Event dates: April 27-29, 2027 (April 27 is a hands-on labs day and required speaker rehearsals)
Event location: New York, NY
Event website: https://grafana.com/events/grafanacon/
CFP closes: January 11, 2027 at 11:59pm PST
GrafanaCON is our largest community conference of the year. We’re looking for speakers to share their real-world experiences with Grafana, custom-built plugins, cool dashboards, and more. This is a community-driven conference focused on your favorite visualization tool, its big tent of data source plugins, and the surrounding open source ecosystem – Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, Mimir, Alloy, and more.
Who should apply? We’re looking for open source contributors and hands-on practitioners to share their stories with the wider community. We’re open to a wide range of topics, from beginner to advanced, and speakers from all backgrounds and industries. First-time speakers are welcome!
All sessions will be presented in-person at the event. Speakers will receive free entry to the full event, plus access to a speaker gathering. If you need help with travel or accommodations, Grafana offers an outreach scholarship. The scholarship application form will open once registration goes live.
Types of submissions:
- 10 minute lightning talks
- 25 minute sessions + Q&A
- Interactive Science Fair demo
- Golden Grot Awards: best dashboards and projects
Suggested topics, not required:
- Developments around the open source ecosystem (Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, Mimir, k6, etc.)
- Interesting and unexpected use cases of Grafana — from home labs and industrial IoT to space and beyond
- Success stories of implementing modern tooling or large installations of our OSS projects (e.g., Mimir, Loki, Tempo)
- Real world examples of how you use the LGTM Stack for business intelligence
- Demos of data source plugins for Grafana
- Using AI to accelerate your observability practice
- Monitoring LLMs and agents - AI Observability
You’re welcome to submit multiple topics, please limit to 3 proposals maximum. Submit thoughtfully: AI can help refine your wording, but remember that many humans will read submissions. Review output before you submit.
Submissions may be modified until the deadline, January 11. Don't wait to submit!
Notes on submission types
- Interactive Science Fair demo: for projects with an interactive component or IoT. Rather than presenting on stage, Science Fair demos are staffed in the Expo for the duration of the event.
- Golden Grot Awards: every year we honor the creative and innovative uses of Grafana. Golden Grot winning projects are presented on the main stage at GrafanaCON.
If you have any questions send us a note at speakers@grafana.com. Join #cfp-speaker-office-hours in Grafana Labs Community Slack to request feedback on your proposal.
By submitting a talk proposal and participating in GrafanaCON you agree to be bound by our speaker release agreement available here: https://grafana.com/legal/grafana-labs-event-speaker-release-and-consent/, and agreeing to receive communication from us about GrafanaCON and other speaking opportunities.
