Mercator - Mapping the information system
10-25, 16:15–16:45 (Europe/Luxembourg), Europe - Main Room

Computer attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and occur in a rapidly evolving environment. To effectively address these challenges, organizations need a comprehensive understanding of their information systems. Achieving this requires implementing a detailed map of the Information System.

Creating a detailed map of the Information System provides a holistic view of all its components, enhancing readability and control. This cartography is crucial for the protection, defense, and resilience of the information system. It serves as an essential tool for managing information systems effectively and is mandatory for essential entities (NIS2) as part of a broader risk management framework.

Hi there, I'm Didier, a technology and information security enthusiast. I started my career as an information security Ninja, defending information systems against cyber threats using my Jedi skills. However, I also have another side to me that comes out at night, that of a benevolent hacker. I love using my skills to support the values of open source and firmly believe in them.

I believe that technology can be used to improve people's lives, but this can only be done if we work together and share our knowledge. That's why I'm also a strong advocate of collaboration and openness in the tech industry.

May the source code be with you!
