Digital education for the digital decade: The Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027
The EU will pursue a human-centric, sustainable vision for digital society throughout the digital decade to empower citizens and businesses. In this context the Commission presented its Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, an actions-focused policy framework for fairer, high-quality, and inclusive digital education. With it, the Commission sets out its vision for a more coherent and effective digital education policy and proposes concrete actions to support its development. Georgi Dimitrov will introduce the Commission priorities for a high-performing digital education ecosystem and for supporting the development of digital skills by looking into the lessons learnt in Europe, both before and during the COVID-19 crisis. He will also reflect on the role of informatics as a means to promote better development of digital competence.
