It is rarely discussed how closely the emerging Digital Revolution is linked with the Great Acceleration that catapulted humanity out of stable living conditions within 50 years. If linkages to the sustainability crises are made, the focus lies on fixing problems within the existing systems of production and consumption. This will not suffice. The 21st century trends require a societal transformation that puts one question first: who do we want to be?
