🎯 Suggested Topics

We want to hear about what excites you! We are especially interested in:
- AI & JavaScript: Agents, WebGPU, and running LLMs in the browser.
- Modern Architectures: Local-first apps, Edge Computing, and Server Components.
- Performance: Optimizing for INP (Interaction to Next Paint) and Core Web Vitals.
- Security: NPM security, and sandboxing.
- Engineering Culture: Mental health in tech, diversity, and technical leadership.
- Beyond the Browser: Wasm, Node/Deno/Bun, and Hardware JS.
- Or any JavaScript-related topic you’re passionate about!

🎁 Speaker Support & Benefits

Flight support
We cover your flight from your origin city to Guadalajara. If you need a different return location, please specify in the form—any changes will be at your expense. To ensure diverse voices reach Guadalajara, we offer the following support (maximum flight budget per region):

  • Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania: $1,100 USD
  • USA, Canada, Central & South America: $800 USD
  • Mexico (Outside Guadalajara): $300 USD

4-day, 3-night stay
Includes one night before the event and checkout the day after. Extra nights will be at your expense.

Food budget
Breakfast and meals during the event are covered.

Transportation from the airport to the hotel
If you're unfamiliar with the city, we’ll assist you in reaching your destinations.

📝 Notes:
- Flight logistics: We can purchase tickets directly for you or process a reimbursement up to the specified amount.
- Corporate Support: If your company can cover your travel expenses, we will list them as a "Support" level sponsor.
-Co-presentations: You are more than welcome to submit a proposal with a co-speaker. Please keep in mind that, due to our budget as a non-profit, we can only provide travel and accommodation support for one speaker per session. We’ll leave it up to you and your co-speaker to decide how to best use that support!

📌 Submission Guide

🗣️ Accepted languages: English and Spanish.

🎙️ Talk formats:
- Regular session: 30 minutes.

💡 Tips for your proposal:
- Be clear and concise in your description.
- Check your grammar and spelling.
- Keep it under 600 characters.
- Share an original and relevant topic.
- Consider the audience diversity: from beginners to experts.

💭 Q&A sessions.
It is up to the speaker to decide if they want to reserve time for Q&A within their 30-minute slot.

🎯 Selection Process

We strive to make our selection process as fair and objective as possible. Here’s how we do it:

1️⃣ Anonymous first rounds: Submissions will be evaluated without speaker details.
2️⃣ First evaluation: Proposals are rated on a 1 to 10 scale based on clarity and relevance.
3️⃣ Second round: The best proposals are shortlisted and rated on a 1 to 3 scale.
4️⃣ Final round: Speaker details such as expertise and budget feasibility are considered.
